Facing forward

We decided for our trip to the Ozarks we would turn Collin so he could face forward in his car seat. He was so much happier. He watched the DVD player for a little while but loved to look out the front window.

Collin cracks me up daily. He loves music
and loves to dance.

Shootout at the Lake

This past weekend we went to the Lake of the Ozarks to visit Grandma and Grandpa and watch the big boats race in the annual Shootout. The end of the race was right at my parents cove so we got to see the action up close. The top speed for the weekend was 172 miles per hour by the Bud Light boat. We took our friends Kami and Brad along with their dog Gage. With Bert, Collin, Vegas and I, it was a full car. Collin enjoyed the lake so much. When it was time to get back into the boat after swimming, he cried. I think we need to get him into a water class next spring. All in all, we have a great weekend with friends and family. We can't wait to do it again next year!!!

Grandpa do you have any quarters behind your ear?Mom can we buy this boat????? I would look so cool in it!!!

Olympics 2024 backstroke :)

Swimming is hard work

1st pair of tennis shoes

Collin got his first pair of tennis shoes a week ago. He is doing pretty well walking in them but doesn't seem to want to leave them on for long.

Visit from Chad, Amy, Camryn and Cody

I am a little slow getting the blog updated. A couple of weekends ago we got a visit from Bert's brother and family. Collin enjoyed playing with everyone and especially loved crawling all over Cody and Camryn.

Cody it is my turn to play!!!

I'm going to beat you Camryn!!!

Walking

Collin is finally walking and able to keep his balance pretty well. It has been so much fun to watch how much better he gets walking every day. Pretty soon he will be running not walking. I don't think I'm ready for that yet.

Sports

Well, I think Collin is going to take after his daddy and love sports :) Out of all the toys, he has the football in one hand and the baseball bat in the other. He is also starting to like music and can really get down. I got a little video but every time he starts to really get down and sees I have the camera he stops. Go figure!!!

GO CUBS GO

We took our first trip this past weekend without the Little Man. We went to Chicago to see the Cubs vs. Cardinals. Grandma June and Grandpa Larry came up to watch him while we were gone. I think he may have been a little spoiled while they were here :) We had a great trip and can't wait to do it again next year. I had to do a little shopping while we were there and brought back some fun Cubs gear. GO CUBS GO!!!
