Visit to the Farm

To end our vacation, we took a trip on Sunday to the farm to see Grandma June and Grandpa Larry. Essex is only about an hour from Omaha so it was a quick trip. When we got there, Collin enjoyed the swing set and so did Mommy :) On Monday, we had the family over for lunch. Collin got to play with all his aunts, uncles and cousins. He was exhausted when we left and took a 2 1/2 hour nap home. It was a wonderful vacation.

Visit to see Cousin Maren

On Saturday night, we took a little car ride to see Nick, Jess, and Maren. Collin had a very good time. He especially loved the exersaucer. He gave it a good test for Maren. I think it is pretty sturdy.

Waterpark

After the zoo on Friday, we checked into our hotel that had an indoor waterpark. Grandma June came up for the evening along with Aunt Kris and the girls. Mom and Dad got to have a nice evening out without Collin. Grandma June, Aunt Kris and the girls took Collin over to the waterpark. He loved it!!! On Saturday, Bert and I decided to check out the waterpark and let him enjoy more time in the water.

Trip to the Zoo

On Friday of our family vacation, we decided to head to the Omaha zoo. It was a little rainy but that kept the crowds down. Collin really enjoyed the penguins, fish and turtles. The only thing that really scared him was the large gorillas. One of them came over the window we were sitting at and ran by really fast beating on the glass. He screamed and it was time to leave where we were.

Collin loved the penguins the most so he got a little souvenir when we were done with the zoo.

First Family Vacation

Well we have officially started our first family vacation. We arrived in Omaha, NE at midnight last night. Collin slept all the way and then woke up when we got here for two hours. He actually let us sleep in until 8:30 this morning. We went down to the pool at the hotel and he absolutely loved it. He loved to kick and flap his arms. For some odd reason he also loved to dunk his face into the water. I guess that is a good thing as he is not scared to get his face wet and be under the water.

Reverse

Collin still is not crawling but he manages to move by going in reverse.

Teaching Him Young

Grandpa bought a new fishing pole at Bass Pro Shop. He decided it was never to early to teach Collin to fish. I think Grandpa is very excited to have a grandson to take fishing.

Weekend at the Lake

I'm a little behind updating the blog. Two weeks ago we took a trip down to see Grandma and Grandpa Dau at the Lake. The weekend was too chilly and rainy to be on the lake. We decided on Saturday to take a trip to the Bass Pro Shop in Springfield. Collin had a good time with lots of new things to see.


We found a fishing boat that Collin could sit down on and pull off his socks. He is not a big fan of socks or shoes. Mom puts the socks on and two seconds later off they come.

DADDY'S DREAMING!!!!!

Collin had his first encounter with something that really scared him. I think it had to do with the fact that it was the end of the day and he was really tired.
